My Blog has been neglected for far too long! Cheeekie and I have turned a a blind learning Eye to the calendar year of 2011! Although 2012, is starting off on a gravel road, I promise to my lord and Savior and my wife that 2012 will once the book are closed, a year to be looked upon as Change, Choices, eradicating toxicity, and putting true belief in each other.and, in the hopes that our " Friends" that we have acquired think that we are worth it, without preclusion or judgement! I absolutely mean no other intention with my statements , except to bring those Close,closer, and those willing to be a part as well! If there is one single thing I am guilty of in my entire life, it is compassion without regard, and gullibility in the presence of optimism! I truly would change my peeps and My circles If I could, But I have learned that Changing McFluffy is entirely hard enough!! Have a great evening! Cheekie and I have a week ahead of us that will make anyone's head go crazy! LOL I Love my wife with my Life and every step we make is a sturdy forward movement!

PS, This is a piece of art work my wife has been working on! It is Negativity, and toxic, and utter "BS" It is also called art therapy! All of this has troubled "Cheekie" in 2012. Purging this starting and using her talent for positivity is a great start! Any one who knows my wife knows her soul, because she wears it on her shoulders! It is certainly not who she is!!

TO ME. this is who she is, a beautiful metamorphosis of a being that keeps getting better with time!

March Madness

March Madness…what is it? This year I don’t know! It is a combination of life , business, and basketball! It’s all Madddddd… LOL Cheekie and I had a wonderful weekend. WE shopped, played and had some wonderful quality time. I can never ask for more weekends like that. The economy is Kr8zy MAD right now. So many peeps are just down right scared for job security, tight budgets and of course OIL…. I love my recession proof job, although I have to admit, I have to get my azzzzz in gear and focus on the direction of business these days! It’s like learning hoe to play again. It’s not about pride, and reliability any longer, it’s about $$$$$. Well folks, I still gotta make lettuce, so it’s on! We have missed our NC besties, but have been talking with them as much as we can. All our besties around here have been soooo busy lately, I am ready for some normalcy back. I think Cheeks and I are gonna take a leap and over the next few weeks go some places and do some things that will be fun and interesting. I am looking forward to quite a few more fun weekends on the river this year.

We are gonna have a wonderful 2011, save some monies, get ready for a Disney Vacation and no telling where else the wind blows us.

Spring time means some festivals and plantations, and cemeteries. I love hanging with my Cheekie taking rides, and photographing things! I hope that any who read wanna joins us, we will certainly be doin out thang!!!

Tough Times, Long Day’s, and Sleepless Nights

Been quite a while since I have blogged! In that time I have feverously been though a rash of emotions. Cheekie and I took the plunge this year and went on a Christmas Holiday to ourselves to Disneyworld. We had a wonderful time, missed families,but had a great time. We anxiously awaited the arrival of our beastie's and their family from North Carolina! They arrived on December the 26. A few hours after arrival Allison's dad became very ill and had to be transported to the hospital. We all bonded as the family that we are at that point and over the next 2-1/2 weeks we helped James through prayer and support to aid in getting him home to North Carolina! Once James arrived home he began a strange but steady improvement. On January 18,2011 My buddy, My best friends Dad, and a Granddad that would make anyone proud, succumbed to complications from his lung Cancer. Cheekie and I had a very pleasant stay in North Carolina. We loved everyone we me and enjoyed all that we could do. I am posting this in absolute tribute to one of the Greatest men I have ever met.

I have with great honor made a Picture Movie show in tribute to the kindness of his life, with the help of his dear daughter Allison Morris King. Please CLICK on the Title of the show to view the show.

James T Morris Obituary

DURHAM -- James Thomas Morris, age 65, of 5702 Paragon Circle, Durham, died Tuesday night, January 18, 2011 at the Carolina House, of Durham.

Mr. Morris was a native of Person County, son of the late James Robert and Hattie Carver Morris and husband of 17 years to Elsie Watson Morris who survives. He was retired from GTE/Verizon with 39 years of service as a Cable Maintenance Splicer and a Installer Repair Person. Mr. Morris was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and was also a veteran of the US Navy. He was diagnosed with Stage 4 bone lung cancer in 09'. He fought triumphantly and hard with the support of his family to beat his disease. His courageous battle brought him into remission in November of 10'. Throughout his battle he never relinquished his will to live. Having fought long and hard throughout the last 4 weeks, his lungs finally succumbed to the result of his cancerous lesions. He left his earthly body to guide his family in spirit.

Survived by his wife,Elsie , his son, Michael Morris and wife, Amy of Durham; his daughter, Allison M. King and husband, Brian of Rougemont; a step son, Paul Walker and wife, Janie of Alton, Va.

He was totally devoted to his two grandchildren, From Competitive cheerleading with Whitney Renee Breeze and girls fast pitch softball with Hannah Elizabeth Morris.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, January 21, in the Strickland Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Hugh Harris and the Rev. Marilyn Shipman. Interment will follow in the Providence Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, January 20, at the funeral home and other times at the home.

Pallbearers will be Donald Fox, George Murray, David Robertson, Rodney Shaw, Larry Vaughn, Terry Wayne Watson, Alan Whitlow and Ricky Whitt. Former co-workers will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Arrangements are by Strickland Funeral Home, 1314 North Main Street, Roxboro. Online condolences may be made at stricklandfh@centurylink.net.

Ok,

I guess i have some catching up to do. Due to my less that perfect knowledge about how these blog tags and comments work, I seem to have left out a couple of comments and tags my Cheekie monkey has left me:(sorry)! I will attempt to complete these since she has done the and so graciously asked to to join! Forgive me if I do not come across as wordily as My Honey, but she is a far better writer than I. I tend to think, and do! (most of the times, and sometimes not in that order, but I am pretty sure i can manage! LOL!

First order of business is from the tag left quite a few days ago:

1. What is the first pet you remember? Well, I dont remember a name, but my mom and i lived in Baton rouge on Government street. I think I was around 3 years old. She didnt have much means to accomadate my desires for and animal. But i was surprised with a cute bunny! The thing was crazy in roamed amd played, but strangest of all, it would get on the side of the tub while you bathed, and i guess really contemplated, do i want in there or not. Well my mom drew my bath one evening, and when I went in to take a bath the poor bunny had fallen into the tub. He was moving and swimming, when my mom got him out. Eventually he passed within the day! Dunno why, didnt understand at the time!

2.How many pets have you owned? 10 species in my lifetime:
2 snakes (garter, King) 2 rabbits, 6 birds, 2 ducklings, 1 baby chick, 1 ferret, 5 cats, numerous turtles, numerous fish: and as for dogs, I had five in the maturing years and beginning of our marrige. Our 6th was pepper, he became part of our family, Our 7th –9th were and are our puppy kiddies:(no matter how old they are our puppy kiddies) Elizah, Belle, and Lexi!

3. What was you strangest pet? I guess it would be the turtles, I started catching the for pets in the concrete Water drainage systems in Baton Rouge, the the little salesman in me found out that there was a demand for the red eared green turtles at the pet shop. From the on I caught them and sold them to a hobby shop on Florida Blvd. that was until my mom made me quit because the smell of turtles on the back patio in an aquarium wasnt too great! LOL

4.What was you dream pet? I’m with honey on this one, the thought never crossed my mind. Now I have then: our Puppy Kids!

5.What is you nightmare pet? None really, although I wouldnt want to care for an alligator much longer than when he was little!

6.What is you funniest pet story! We had a African grey parrot when i was younger. It was very curious. My mom had an old hall tree from my grandma right inside the door. Whenever someone would come over and visit, if they were standing near the hall tree, the bird would fly over and rest on their head, look into the mirror and start dancing. Needless to say we had to keep the bird up when company was around. we lived in an apartment complex. i opened the door to check the mail( in those days the box was built in the wall right outside your door): when I did out the bird went,never to be seen again.

7.What is you saddest pet story? I also have to agree(partly) with my honey. It was the passing of our Yorkie :Elizah” We were worried, scared to death then out to peace, knowing of his whereabouts. The (partly) is because I would never blame my honey! he did begin to have a terrible incontinence problem! When we put him outside he was placed in a gated yard with a picket fence. Being such a well behaved animal, i would have never thought he would try and roam. It goes to show us that no matter how much we love them or treat them differently, they are different, and he obviously decided he wanted to go check something out( Prolly a prospective girlfriend) We both ;love him and miss him!

8.did you ever have a scary animal experience? Only once. We were at our camp. i had walked down the road to visit with a friend. Along the way, unbeknownst to me, one of the neighbors had guests that had Bull Mastiff / Boxer mix dogs there. 2 of them. They came at me, I never broke stride, just kind of kept walking looking ahead, thinking oh crap! My buddy Byron came out with a shotgun, and yelled at the owners to get their dog back or he would take care of them! Whew, they came running and pinned them up!

9. What was you favorite pet? it would have to be our last three dogs and our 2 rescue cats from hurricane Katrina. I guess the older I get, the more softhearted I do as well.

10. What do you want to tell us about pets that doesn't fit into the other questions? Not much really. It pretty much sums it all up! Except, Everyone need to know we have some spoiled little puppy girls. They are the best and deserve it!

1. My Cheekie Monkey and I are honest to god soul mates. We were destined for marrige the moment we met! I cherish the day our paths crossed.

2.My life has been a rollercoaster ride. Turbulent times from single parents, adolescence mischief, that lead to nothing but trouble. All of the types of thing that one would think would lead to a path of destruction.

3.Number 2, brings me here. Early on I learned though tough love that although it may not be comfortable to be given the things you want, there is a reason in the end. There were a combination of people who taught me lessons in life, be it through happenstance, or education, either way, i greatly adore all of them. (My Father, Pawpaw, Mom, all grandparents,and the list goes on…) Most importantly ,16 years ago, a piece of moral fiber was sewn into my life. That was my wife and all the morals and family structure it brought. Dont get me wrong I appreciate every day of my life, because I always had someone in it who loved and attempted to guide me. in some cases, I did not indulge!LOL

4.I was a trumpet player in lower elementary schools. Jazz, Concert, and Marching ensembles. I really enjoyed that!

5.After one of my adolescence mischief misdirection's, I was reviled of my ability(so to say) to stay in the East Baton rouge school system! It was then that my mom sent me to live with my father! Can you say discipline? That what I needed. it may have taken a while, and a few states to start getting it through my thick skull, but eventually it started to soak in.

6.I love my wife more than life it self. We are best friends! it appalls me to see the way some men ,(and women) treat their spouses! When i took a vow before god and a few friends and family. It was to ensure that I was going to make sure that our household was my responsibility, even if that meant I had to change to do so! We are a work in progress, and all the art in the world is lucky, we will never complete our project: because it would simply be the most beautiful thing ever seen!

7.I proudly served my country in the Us Army! Through peace and war times I valued my place in our military. from the discipline of the drill instructors at Basic,to the job skills that we learned. I was honored to be and instructor at the armor School for Army, Marines and officer entry level training in Ft. Knox: Serve during Panama, and Operation Desert Storm. I can honestly say I enjoyed the time and travelling i got to do in the military, but my departure was crucial. That being said, it was because, a short time after i returned home, I met my lovely Wife!

8.I am a full grown kid! We can’t have children, but God has other plans, this I believe in the fullest! We have had the opportunity to see the things we may have been chosen for already! Sometimes a family member has needed us, and we were there. There have been times when my wife needed my special attention, and i was able to devote it to her, so all be it a bump i the road that was unforeseen, we have used it to the best of our ability. Plus as I stated in the beginning of this statement I will never stop being a kid! Age is a state of mind, and I live in Louisiana, when it comes to states we are always the last to know, I guess that means i will never realize when I begin to turn old. LOL!

9. DISNEYWORLD!!!

Can that be one topic. I think so! I think it is the most Magical place on earth. I still tear up every time we have to leave the Magic Kingdom, even though I know we will return every year.

10. I am thankful to have been blessed with with re-uniting with one of my wife’s friends from school and their family! They have really played an influential role in the last couple of years of our lives! Thanks, T-n-T & Family!

11.I know it was ten, But i got side tracked, so here is the Last but not least for sure. Saved for last because it encompasses the being of all success and life! FAMILY! I know my wife blogs regularly about family. I want to re-iterate the importance of being one unit. The whole population with this special day happening tomorrow wants a miraculous change to happen! CHANGE! That the acronym used by our president elect, Barack Obama. Change indeed. We all need to see that is is needed. Lots of folks overlook the importance of the word. I truly believe that in order for us to be able to allow a significant CHANGE in our society, it has to start at home. If your Family life is solid, then each other little detail will begin to follow. unfortunately its hard to see and understand, because we can only impact directly our own families. dont get me wrong, I am one of the most competitive people you’ll meet. But Keep your family life straight, and your work will follow. I my profession (sales) it is important to always present yourself to others with enthusiasm, whether you know them or not. It may be the next dollar you make, or the next life you CHANGE!

Short & Sweet

Here I sit watching my Recorded TV shows. My poor cheekie Monkey is suffering with a severe tooth ache. With our new united health care policy i am in search of a dentist to make my honey better. our new policy doesn’t qualify as a “dental Plan”, it is a dental discount plan. “Sucks” I WILL find a great dentist on our new plan to give my honey some comfort! i am soooo sorry she has to endure the pain! On the other hand she got some great news. She had her 2 year vision checkup, and with the new technologies, she does qualify for contacts. She has got her monovision trial pair and she is doing great with them! Her new glasses are being made now and she should receive them within about a week! Right now she is sleeping soundly, I can at least know that she is beside the pain at this moment. I hope that we can resolve this soon for her case!

My cheekie monkey and I had a lovely holidays! for once they actually felt as though they lasted a good while! We had some great visits with family and friends! My honey got me the most wonderful gift Guitar Hero World tour Complete Band Set! We have become truly addicted to it over the last couple of weeks! Get ready you’ll see us on tour soon somewhere in your area! LOL! I forgot to mention that we had some beautiful sneaux in south Louisiana this year. It was a rarity for us! No matter how rare, it was amazing! I have an aerial picture compliments of a good friend & customer of mine! One of a kind photo!

We had a wedding to go to on New years Eve! A friends nephew was in from the Us Navy, and he and his Bride tied the knot while he was in. The reception that followed the wedding took us through the New Year! We had a great time with our friends!

All in all our 2008 was great! We have some nice goals set for this New year! Including a New home and a wonderful 15 day Disneyworld Trip in November! To cap it all off, My honey and I celebrated out 16th Wedding anniversary on the 29th of December! I want to say that it has truly been 16 years of true happiness with my best friend and confidant! I am looking forward to as many more as the big guy allows us! I wish all the best to everyone in 2009, I know My hone and I had a great start today both of us staying busy and making some accomplishments That made us feel grrrreat! I Love You honey! Best wishes to everyone!

Merry Christmas Eve to everyone. I am sooooo looking forward to getting together with family and visiting, and having some special recipes. This time of year for me, is really great, because my moral backbone, (my Honey) loves visiting with family and friends! She has taught me to enjoy the comforts of visiting! I want everyone who I associate with to understand that she is truly an amazing person! Some people in this life are simple and we can not change that, but it is the special ones that are filled with enough emotion for all of us,(like my honey) that help our fibers continue to stay strong! Anyone who thinks that you cant feel, or change your emotions, think twice, I have. Don't get me wring, I have never had any animosity with any of my family throughout my life, other that normal quirks, but being with my Honey, and ALL of her family, has really taught me to live life in the moment, because moments are all we get; in the grand scheme of things! ……

Anyway, as you can tell, I am grateful for My wonderful wife our Families, and our Wonderful friends! I hope every has a Merry Christmas!

Happy Holidays to everyone! I haven't been on my computer much since November! Since we have returned from our trip to Mexico, it has been non stop. Sickness, Work, More work, Sick again, Sneaux & Shopping, for Christmas! Whew, can I tell you, I am exhausted! Tomorrow is Christmas Eve, all the elves will spread their magic. I hope everyone magic is as great as the magic I am blessed with!

First Decent Bowl game tonight, undefeated Boise state ESPN @ 7:00! I plan to take a gander at that one! Merry Christmas to everyone!!!

December’s Here

Well December is here, Thanksgiving is gone, and we are not at Disneyworld this year! Let me say that that is OK. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with most of the family! Some were out of town and some….somewhere else. I hope that all we didn't get to see had a great thanksgiving. We got a chance to see my sister Kim, her husband and their three children this year! They were fun, it has been a while since we have seen them.My honey and I started to get over the yuckies, then..BAM, it seem as though it might be coming back. If it doesn't go away quick, I am going to get a shot!! Anyway, thanks to all who make our lives brighter, its what Thanksgiving is about! Now we can concentrate on Christmas! We put up a PINK tree this year. I was a little apprehensive, but my cheekie monkey, convinced me! Boy am I glad she did. It is Beautiful!

This will be our last Christmas in this house, so we are going for a new small look! Well I am off to piddle on the computer, then watch a couple of recorded shows! Say a prayer for my honey! Help her kick the terrible sinus pain and headaches!

Great Weekend

My Honey and I had a wonderful weekend! We were asked out to dinner Friday with J&J. They had been to Koto of Japan a couple of weeks ago, and they wanted to go again, and asked us to go along. We had a few drinks at the bar while we waited for the grill to be prepared! The experience was cool, the chef was throwing and tapping, and cutting and cooking all over! Their sushi selection was wonderful! I had a house special, Hawaiian roll. Tempura shrimp, crème cheese, avocado, wrapped in kelp and rice, topped with mango slices and mango sauce! Very unique! On Saturday, we struck out to go get a new wick for my”New Qua” Lampberger’, By the time we got to the sanctuary it had closed! Bummer. We wanted a bite to eat, and my honey suggested Copeland Cheesecake Bistro. I had never been there, but she assured me that it was as good if not better than the original Copeland's. The atmosphere and decor were amazing. The appetizers, and entree’s were wonderful! But the sinful decadence of the cheesecake for dessert …. no words for it! I wished that T-n-T could have been there for that . I know how Teddy loves cheesecake. We stopped by Pawpaw &Maw maw O’s to bring him his phone charger he left at the hospital, then we headed home! I listened to the Cardiac Kids play Troy State. Boy was it painful! We overcame our horrible first half to pull out a miraculous win in the 4th quarter! My cheekie monkey and I watched movies today. Get Smart(good Movie) and Mamma Mia( Great Movie). All in all it was a wonderful peaceful weekend. I missed not talking or seeing T-n-T, as we have gotten accustomed to being around them alot since our vacation, oh well, hope they got some rest, so we can meet up soon! I am going play XBox, and watch TV, and my honey is snuggled under her electric blanket!

P.S. Hope B-nut is well on her journey, and that her hubby doesn’t get too lonely over the next 25 days!

This year has been passing by soooooo fast. I guess the old adage is definitely true “ Time flies when you’re having fun”. I want to put a little prayer out there for My honey, and my Pawpaw. Both are sick right now, and I want them to get well soon! I am cooking some Blackened Chicken Alfredo! Hopefully it will sooth my Honey’s throat! Have a great Day!

Were Back!!!

We Mad it back to good ole’ Louisiana! Boy did I know we had made it. As soon as we approached the Mississippi delta, my sinus’ started acting a fool! We had a wonderful time gallivanting around Mexico with our best friends! To our surprise, we met a wonderful couple in Progresso, and pretty much did everything together for the rest of the trip! My Honey got plenty good stuff, and I hooked her up on two nice pieces of Jewelry!(I’ll put it on her tab…) Over the trip was amazing! We cant wait for the next one! We got home unloaded, and went to pick up our girls. The had a wonderful time at their Puppy Bed & Breakfast! Now my Honey & I are going to chill!

Having some coffee,previewing some of the songs on my iPod before we leave! I am trying to get used to these blog authoring tools, maybe one day I will? We r leaving this morning on our much anticipated week long cruise to Mexico! Nothing like salt breeze in your face and cold beverage in your hand! You know what's really great about it, the phone will be in iPod only mode unless we are on land!!! HOORAY!! No Telephone! We will have internet so we can keep in touch a little! I have to send a couple of money Makin’ e-mails, (makes the week go by easier) OK soon as my Honey is finished getting ready, I am right behind her! Caribbean here we Come

I have got this page,(with the help of my Honey) good enough for now! We leave tomorrow morning for Mexico! I am sooooo ready for a margarita!

My Honey has us all packed! I am going load the car then just sit back and chill! We are gona have a great time! I am going to miss our Puppy girls sooooo much, at least I know they are going to be in a great Bed & Breakfast! Have a good evening!

Well, I am new to the world of Blog pages, but I guess if I can build HTML, them Blogger should pose no problem! My Honey will tell you that my biggest problem will be "Procrastination" I am not one to keep these type of things up to date! Luckily, my Honey is an expert at this! Check Her Out! I am sure that if hit any bumps, she can give me a push!
